COGZ Freezes

Error: COGZ Freezes, hangs, crashes, or otherwise stops working, or requires Closing without a specific message. Occasionally, an MS Windows error such as “COGZ has encountered an error and must close” may appear.

Resolution: This can happen when one or more data base file are corrupt but do not trigger a corruption message. If no other logical reason for this problem, try to go in and out of potential corrupt files using Lists, etc. in COGZ to see if there is a pattern or you can force a corruption message.

If suspected or confirmed corruption, fix files most likely to be corrupt using standard file manager tools and see if this resolves the problem.

If your problem is not discussed above, then follow the problem reporting information here.
